Ann Arbor has Amazing Locations for Wedding Photos!

We love everything about Ann Arbor- the architecture, the food, the culture, and the people! So if you are looking for an Ann Arbor wedding venue or just amazing locations for wedding photos, keep reading! We have photographed weddings for well over a decade. These venues and locations definitely rank up there among our favorites, so they are definitely worth looking into!

Matthaei Botanical Gardens

The Matthaei Botanical Gardens are amazing. When it’s cold and drizzly out, it is warm, humid, and cozy inside. We love the cactus room, and all of the giant tropical plants. You will need nothing else in terms of decor for this simple yet gorgeous foliage-filled wedding venue. Perfect for intimate wedding celebrations. We previously featured it for this intimate Ann Arbor summer wedding.

The Valley

Frutig Farms has two wedding venues on their property, and The Valley is a stunner! This rustic outdoor venue has historic barns, beautiful gardens, and rows of handmade rustic benches. Travis Point Country Club 

This Ann Arbor country club is a hidden gem! This outdoor wedding venue, with a charming indoor reception area, is tucked away and perfect for all sizes of celebrations. It is close to downtown Ann Arbor, so it allows for time to get away to awesome photo locations like the U of M Law Quad and the U of M Museum of Art.  All in one venues are so nice for simplicity, but the proximity to other places for photos is an extra bonus! Zingerman’s Cornman Farm

When you hear the name Zingerman’s, you already know that everything about your experience will be impeccable. And Zingerman’s Cornman Farms lives up to that reputation! The beautiful grounds, amazing food, impeccable service, and overall rustic yet elegant feel of this venue is wonderful. It is historic yet modern, comfortable yet chic. Misty Farm

Frutig Farms’ original wedding venue is a classic farm venue, with rustic charm, a relaxed atmosphere for guests to mingle, and beautiful gardens and sprawling grounds for photos. The sailcloth tent is a wonderful addition to the grounds, and it has a breezy and welcoming space for dinner. Zingerman’s Greyline

Another amazing venue from Zingerman’s! Zingerman’s Greyline is a fantastic urban addition to the family of their Ann Arbor area wedding and event venues. It’s a wonderful space for intimate to mid-size receptions, and has the art-deco vibe of the historic old bus station that used to be in that location. Ypsilanti’s Depot Town

Like Ann Arbor’s hip little sister, Ypsilanti’s Depot Town has a younger, grittier and cooler vibe. We love Ypsi! Depot Town has so much history and character, and it’s a little bit off the beaten path if you are looking for smaller crowds and authentic people. There are urban and vintage architectural textures as well as beautiful and lush nature areas for amazing wedding and engagement photos.
