Tara & Nick’s Rustic Ann Arbor Farm Wedding

A relaxed yet elegant wedding celebration on the grounds of Frutig Farms- Misty Farm

Tara & Nick’s rustic Ann Arbor Farm Wedding was fantastic! Misty Farm is a beautiful venue for a rustic farm wedding in the metro Detroit and Ann Arbor area, especially for photographers like us! All the feels were happy, relaxed and rustic, yet elegant and refined at the same time.  The guests leisurely wandered the grounds and explored the lovely farm. Their wedding ceremony took place near the pond under a shady tree. The most important member of their bridal party was escorted down the aisle by Nick: Batman, of course, their best dog and beloved rescue boxer was really the star of the day! Batman is nine years old and very loved by his parents! He even dressed to the ca-nines for the occasion! His little bow tie and suit were just adorable <3

This awesome Chicago couple wanted a relaxed wedding where they could mingle with their guests and enjoy the beautiful grounds of the farm. We think it was exactly what they envisioned! Friends and family were able to wander, saying hi to the horses and other animals. Dinner was served under an airy tent, with amazing toasts given by Tara’s parents and their Maids of Honor and Best Man. They had everyone on the floor with laughter- it was a great insight to the beginning of this awesome couple’s love! We explored the farm, with unending areas for photos! We love Misty Farm– we were here a few years ago for Laura & Derek’s wedding, which was just as awesome! The Frutigs always do an amazing job with their Ann Arbor farm wedding venues. We also photographed Heather & Nick’s wedding at The Valley last year and were so impressed!

The flowers were amazing, done by Alla Rybaltchik. The band, The Blue Water Kings, provided lovely ceremony music, laid back porch tunes during mingling, and a rocking good time on the dance floor. They were awesome! The food was delicious, by Wesley’s Catering and their cake, an adorable tribute to Batman the rescue boxer, was made by Jefferson Market in Ann Arbor.
