Katie & Drew’s Fall Engagement Session At Nichols Arboretum

Don’t you just love the way the fall colors look in these engagement photos at Ann Arbor’s Nichols Arboretum? It has us pining for, well, anything besides winter right now!  But fall is just the prettiest in Michigan. Katie & Drew were college sweethearts, and they are now planning for their wedding day. They were so great to work with- so easy going and super into each other!  Their adorable dog, Rosie, was way more interested in sniffing around the woods than posing for our photos, but we managed to get some good ones of that cutie. Her floppy ears are the best! We had such a pleasant nature walk at Nichols Arboretum, including a stroll along the Huron River (check out some of our other Ann Arbor engagement sessions along the Huron River here and here).

We are so excited for their summer wedding at the Detroit Athletic Club! We have photographed some amazing weddings there in the past few years (including Jessica & Jason, Katie & Josh and Bailey & Matt) and we are thrilled to be heading back there this summer! It is a historic gem of Detroit, with amazing architecture (designed by the illustrious Albert Kahn) with an exquisite interior and art collection. The view from the rooftop terrace of Detroit’s skyline at sunset (and any other time) can’t be beat. It will be such a great way for them to end a fantastic wedding day! Congratulations Katie & Drew!
