Emily & Robby’s Lovely Spring Rattlesnake Club Wedding

Emily & Robby had an amazing wedding day at The Rattlesnake Club in downtown Detroit! The trees were in full bloom on this lush spring day, love was in the air, and the threat of rain did nothing to dampen this couple’s spirits. Emily and the girls got ready at the Westin Book Cadillac, with makeup by talented sisters Leslie and Nancy Paterra and hair by Jennifer Briton from 6 Salon. The women in Emily’s life surprised her with such a creative “something blue”- a handkerchief with meaningful handwritten notes from all of them. Robby’s mom, Jane, gave Emily the baby bonnet that he came home from the hospital wearing as a newborn. Emily was absolutely glowing, surrounded by the important women in her life. Robby’s best man was Emily’s brother, and he gave Robby the coolest cufflinks- a nod to Robby’s love of mechanical watch gears. The couple was encircled with family and friends as they signed their Ketubah and then gathered around the couple during the bedecken, the veiling and unveiling of the bride. These meaningful Jewish traditions led up to their outdoor ceremony under a lovely chuppah made of tree limbs. Their emotional ceremony was made all the more dramatic with gusty winds (but no rain!) and then of course the sun came out as soon as they were married! The Rattlesnake Club is, as always, a classy and fabulous venue for a wedding. Pot & Box did an amazing job on their flowers, Holiday Market made a very pretty and delicious cake, and Startrax was the DJ that kept the fun going all night. More amazing local vendors that contributed to the day: The Miner’s Den for their beautiful wedding bands and Emily’s grandmother’s antique engagement ring repair; Emily’s lovely dress, veil and hairclips were all from The Gown Shot Ann Arbor; Michelle Moenssen from Nonpareil Studio created Emily’s handmade lace overlay; and Rob’s suit is from The Tux Shop on Woodward.

Emily and Robby are so happy and in love- we are thrilled they chose us to spend this day with them!
